Pay Off the Mortgage Early Fund (POTMEF)

October 10, 2022

UPDATE – May 2023

As of May 1, our current mortgage is now down to $39,000; it was $85,000 when we announced this parish challenge in October 2022; our parishioners have already contributed over $46,000 as a response to our parish challenge – many thanks! Your contributions will help retire this debt!

With that in mind, we are asking you to renew your efforts to help us pay off our mortgage early and offering a PARISH CHALLENGE to accomplish our goal – ONLY NEED 6 more households to financially contribute $5,000 (two-year time period from October 2022). All proceeds in excess of the goal will be included in a “building fund,” as we prepare for our continued growth as a parish community! To offer your pledge, please discuss with our parish Treasurer, Tom Salem.

OUR GOAL: 20 HOUSEHOLDS pledging $5,000 EACH

Currently, we have 14 households already pledging $5,000 each:

Anonymous, Anonymous, Anonymous, Anonymous, Bob & Nancy Brown, Eric & Elizabeth Carender, Michael & Lindsay Cate, Fr. Paul & Ramia Fuller, Shawn Guthrie, Casey & Kiersten Hale, Adnan & Paula Haydar, Todd & Terry Keesee, Philip & Ciera Nelson, Tom & Kate Salem

PLEASE NOTE: This appeal is in addition to your regular stewardship, which is necessary for the annual functioning of our parish community!

Click on the donate button below to donate to POTMEF.  We are very grateful for any donations towards this fund; thank you for your continued generosity!  If you would like to remain anonymous, send an email to saintnicholasar@gmail.com to let us know!

St. Nicholas Church Sets Attendance Record at the 2022 DOMSE Parish Life Conference!

June 19, 2022

St. Nicholas Church was recognized at the Parish Life Conference in Memphis, TN for breaking an attendance record for Parish Life Conferences in the Diocese of Miami and the Southeast!  St. Nicholas had over 30 parishioners register for and attend the PLC this year, which is more than any other non-host parish at a DOMSE PLC to date!  Our church was represented in a BIG way at all of the events at the PLC.  We had multiple winners in the Creative Arts Festival from among our children, and we had an Adult Bible Bowl Team that competed in the Bible Bowl at the PLC!  Thanks to everyone who joined us in Memphis!  We look forward to the next PLC which will be in Miami in June of 2023!

Congratulations to our 2022 Graduates!
